Waist to hip ratio (WHR)

With the waist to hip ratio, the circumference of the waist and the circumference of the hips are measured and proportioned. That simply means dividing the waist circumference by the hip circumference.
Formula:
Waist circumference divided by hip circumference
The result for men should be less than or equal to 1.0 and less than or equal to 0.85 for women. This designates you as pear shaped. Higher values signify a higher risk of suffering from obesity. This is called apple shaped.
